Technivorm KBT741 Moccamaster Thermal Coffee Maker

If you're a coffee lover (i mean, you're here right :) then perhaps you'll love what the Technivorm KBT741 Moccamaster Thermal Coffee Maker has to offer. And if you're like me you like to get the best and most flavorful coffee possible freshly made at home.

This coffee maker will arive mostly assembled and you'll only need to put the brewhead wand, a few covers and the filter basket in their places. The container where you put the water is clear and, like all coffee makers, comes will water level markers printed on the side. The filter basket, its cover and the cover for the water container are black while the brewhead wand is made of stainless steel. As for the stainless steel carafe it's a vacuum type and keeps the coffeee warmed for a few hours. There may be a few instances where pouring coffee from the carafe may cause some spilling but it's easy to adjust to if you pour the coffee carefully and slowly. Removing the lid when pouring eliminates this problem though.

As for the filter basket it has a control to adjust water flow from full flow, partial flow and closed. This control allows you to have the hot water seep for longer moments (or at your choosing using closed) to get more flavor out of your coffee. It's also useful based on what type of grind you have with your coffee. Especially in cases of freshly ground coffee beans.

As for the power control it's the typical on/off variety but after brewing finishes the coils shut off and the brew light will turn off. The only unfortunate thing is that the Technivorm Moccamaster doesn't include a timer feature for automatic brewing of coffee in the morning.
